TAOP Focus at different apertures.

Outline: Using a subject similar to the previous exercise, stand at an angle to the subject as before and focus somewhere in the middle of the frame. take three images; one using your cameras widest aperture, one at the midpoint and one at the smallest aperture setting.

1: Aperture F36
Picture 1 shows the centre bar completely clear, whereas the background and the other 2 bars are blurred, making the point of focus really stand out.

2: Aperture F15

3: Aperture F4

Picture 3 with the lowest aperture also shows the centre bar clear but shows the other bars and background clearer than picture 1.

Conclusion:
Considering a few weeks ago i had never even heard of Aperture and had no idea what it was or what it did, I am very happy with the outcome of this exercise. Not only have i learned what it is and what it does but i can actually see the results of it through the above pictures.
I focussed on the centre bar for all the images but unfortunately didn't have my tripod handy that day. It was great to witness that as the aperture got lower, the more in focus the background got.
I have now learned that the range of focus can be easily altered just be the size of the aperture opening.
