So I've had a look online for the work of John Blakemore and I must say that his work is fascinating. At first glance, i found his images very busy but ultimately, very natural. His techniques of using the different tones of black and white to detail his images is intriguing. His work, to me, is natural, detailed and simple.
However, I personally have always loved the work of Michael Kenna. His black and white landscape photography is striking and really has the 'wow' factor. His work, in comparison to that of John Blakemore, is very sharp/clear and incredibly artsy.
I cannot deny that that John Blakemores work as anything less that beautifully simple but as personal taste, I prefer Michael Kennas work.
